About the Recipe
Cooking on a cedar plank is an experience in itself. It adds a fantastic flavor and aroma to the Rainbow Trout. Be sure to soak the planks and stand by the grill while its cooking, you'll get the nice aroma of cedar as a reward for making sure you don't overcook!
Fillet of John O’s Foods Rainbow Trout
2 tbsp of fish rub
1 tbsp of olive oil
Before you begin, soak cedar planks in water for about 2 hours, or until instructed on cedar plank.
Place trout fillets on top of cedar plank, skin side down.
Sprinkle with seasoning provided or one of your choice.
BBQ at 400 degrees and cook for 10 minutes or until thickest part of fish is done when cut through.
